GMI Launches Analysis and Reporting Tool

March 21 2006

Panel and software provider GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.) has launched a desktop analysis, reporting and publishing tool called Research Analyzer. The tool promises researchers without any scripting knowledge the ability to import very large datasets, generate complex cross-tabs and publish reports with a few clicks.

Key to the idea of Research Analyzer is the reduction of several stages of analysis and reporting, which often involve standalone software, into one package. The tool uses a standard Windows user interface and employs 'the language of market research, with only one syntax to learn'. It is not dependent on an Internet connection.

The tool's data analysis capabilities include industry standard algorithms for the most common statistical validation methods, including Chi2 test, T-test, categorical and quantitative values, deviation, error of the mean, rejection threshold, correlation and Gamma. Users can import research data from GMI's Net-MR™, MI Pro's Research Studio ™, NetReflector's VantagePoint ™, SPSS® and Triple-S™ for analysis and report generation. Other popular data format capabilities are being added in the future.

Reporting is integrated with Microsoft® Office applications and results can be exported in one step to HTML, Adobe PFD or XML. A feature called Super-Dig™ enables users to quickly and easily identify results for specific segments, while data updates from hosted sources and software upgrades can be retrieved live.

GMI founder Rob Monster says Research Analyzer has been designed 'to radically transform the whole experience of working with market research data' and is at the core of the firm's enterprise research management vision, which seeks to partner research companies from sample management and data collection all the way to final analysis and reporting.

Research Analyzer is available for purchase from early April 2006 by means of a renewable annual license fee. Details are at www.researchanalyzer.com , while GMI is online at www.gmi-mr.com .
