Analytics Firm Continues Rapid Growth

Massachusetts based analytics software company Spotfire, Inc. has reported further strong revenue performance and its 16th quarter of year-over-year license revenue growth. Sales of its flagship package DecisionSite were a main driver.

With sales growing at three times the market rate for business intelligence vendors, Spotfire added more than 125 new industry and academic customers.

Spotfire's record growth in 2005 was driven by increased worldwide adoption of the company's flagship Spotfire DecisionSite software by companies such as GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Toshiba, and Trinity Pharmaceuticals.

'The consistent growth that Spotfire experienced in 2005 is a clear demonstration that major, global organizations are spending their next business intelligence dollar on business analytics to unlock new value from existing investments in information,' according to Spotfire CEO Christopher Ahlberg. 'Enterprises are looking to move beyond static reporting in search of the next advantage. Analytics is filling that need.'
