Kline Names Tarantola Chairman and CEO

US MR and management consulting firm Kline & Company, Inc. has elected Joseph Tarantola as its Chairman and CEO. He adds the title to that of President which he has held since May 2001. The company also added Robert Guerrera to its board of directors, replacing Barry Friedfeld.

Friedfeld's term expired on March 31. Guerrera joined the company in 2005 and is Kline's CFO and a Senior VP.

During Tarantola's five years as President, Kline has opened offices in Tokyo and Shanghai and has increased its presence in Europe by expanding resources in its Brussels office. It has also strengthened its relationship with its affiliate in Brazil.

James M. Weatherall, Senior VP and Head of Kline's syndicated market research division, praised Tarantola's role in creating and implementing the company's growth strategy. 'Under his leadership, Kline has expanded its capabilities through acquisitions and organic growth, which has allowed us to build a substantial business in China and Central and Eastern Europe. And we are now set to continue our international expansion in Asia and other regions.'
