Former META Group employees Liz Roche and Jim Roche have launched a new research consultancy, Customers Incorporated LLC, specialising in CRM, sales effectiveness and enabling technologies.

The firm will focus narrowly on customer relationship management (CRM) consulting services to help clients align marketing, sales, and customer service. Ms Roche was META Group's lead CRM industry analyst, while Mr. Roche was most recently VP for Worldwide Sales Operations and is an expert in sales process, consulting and training, including the ValueSelling Framework(TM).

The firm's services will focus around Sales Effectiveness; CRM Consulting and Support including customer data integration (CDI) strategy and implementation; and 'Executive Optics' including readiness and technology assessments, risk vs. reward analysis and comprehensive customer analytics.

'The research firm mergers and acquisitions over the past few years have left clients with fewer industry research and consulting firm options' comments Ms Roche. 'Businesses are looking for an alternative to the do-all behemoth firms and there is real need for a highly focused, hands-on approach to CRM.'

Mr. Roche says the new firm is 'able to deliver nimbleness generally lacking in large research and consulting firms... We can look across the entire sales ecosystem and see how it interacts with the extended selling team to identify weak links and opportunities. This approach enables us to facilitate rapid change for our clients as opposed to generating six months of meetings, conference calls and Webex sessions.'
