New Research Head for Universal McCann

Universal McCann has named Graeme Hutton in the new position of Senior VP, Director of Consumer Insights and Research for the US. He worked previously at the Media Kitchen in New York.

Hutton will be responsible for all proprietary and syndicated research and will report to Mary Gerzema, the firm's US President. The move reflects greater emphasis within UMC on understanding the interaction between the consumer and the media as the precursor to advising clients on communication.

As Media Kitchen's Integrated Communications Director, Hutton managed and oversaw all agency research initiatives for clients including Limited Brands (Victoria's Secret), Liberty Mutual and Panasonic.

Earlier, he spent three years in San Francisco as Senior VP, Strategic Resources at ZenithOptimedia; and worked in London for companies including Lowe Lintas & Partners, Ammirati Puris Lintas, CIA MediaNetwork, Billetts and Ogilvy & Mather.
