Former IRI marketing Leader Joins CGM Analyst

Janet Eden-Harris, formerly Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer for Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) has joined Umbria, Inc., a company analysing the content of Consumer Generated Media (CGM), as Chief Executive.

Umbria provides market intelligence based on opinions expressed online via blogs, message boards, chat rooms, and other public forums, using proprietary Natural Language Processing and machine learning algorithms.

At IRI, Eden-Harris was responsible for global marketing, product management, alliances and strategy. Previous roles include Executive VP and CMO for i2 Technologies, a supply chain management solutions provider; and CMO for Aspect Development. She also co-founded a marketing consulting agency, Eden Harris, Associates.

Former Umbria CEO Howard Kaushansky, who will continue in his roles as President, co-founder and board member, comments: 'We, the company and our investors, are very enthusiastic about Janet joining our team.
