Mobile Survey Platform on Show

June 7 2006

Application developer Embrace Mobile has debuted MSurvey, a new mobile survey application, at the Online Marketing Show in London. The technology promises researchers data collection on the spot, at the time of the customer experience.

The product is targeted at those conducting short surveys such as mystery shopping, event feedback and customer satisfaction, as well as panel cleaning and diarised reminders. Trials with agencies including SurveyShack.com, Spring Research, and Leapfrog Research & Planning have delivered response rates of 80% - 90% within two hours. The service can be hosted or integrated and is delivered in SMS, mobile Internet or application versions. It uses open standards XML and Triple-S (Survey Interchange Standard).

Centaur Media, organisers of the Online Marketing Show, are using the service to carry out live research during the event.

Embrace MD Gareth Reakes says the technology has speed advantages over all other forms of survey: 'Until recently, it would take several days or weeks to set up a survey and get a response, even using online surveys. A survey sent by mobile phone is a quick and reliable alternative.'

The company is online at www.embracemobile.com .
