Home Networking Launch from ABI

ABI Research has announced a new service focused on worldwide home networking technology markets, to be led by eminent analyst Michael Wolf.

The service promises to provide clients with 'the industry's most in-depth analysis of strategic issues facing key players ranging from broadband service providers to media companies to device manufacturers and semiconductor companies'.

The Home Networking Research Service includes ongoing strategic analysis of key technology trends and market drivers, backed up by granular forecasts of market growth in critical segments. It also gives access to a detailed industry database allowing clients to drill down into data for particular devices. Product categories will include home media servers, network attached storage, Wi-Fi enabled consumer electronics, and LAN technology forecasts for emerging connectivity options such as MoCA, HomePNA and HomePlug.

Wolf is a columnist on home networking for Network World, a published author on the subject and a frequent speaker at industry conferences on the subject of digital consumer lifestyles.
