South African Office for SKOPOS

European agency SKOPOS has opened an office in South Africa, based in the Johannesburg/Pretoria area. Susanne Reese, previously head of the company's field and tab offering SOS Bureau UK is named as its Director.

Services offered will include full service market research consultancy, the SOS Bureau and online panels.

Reese will be in charge of the day to day operations, recruitment and generating new business, and will report to UK Managing Director Darren Noyce. She comments: 'This is indeed an exciting opportunity for me and SKOPOS. The challenges of setting up a South African office are slightly different to that of other markets, mainly because online research, although growing in use, is still very much in its infancy compared to more developed markets.'

According to Noyce, the move 'begins the expansion of SKOPOS outside of Europe, where we already operate in most major markets. South Africa shows a lot of growth in Media, especially Ecommerce, Online and Communications, and we hope to leverage the SKOPOS strengths in these sectors to great effect'.
