Appointment at Compete

US online specialist Compete, Inc. has appointed Michael Perlman as a Director of its Financial Services practice. He will lead a team of industry analysts who work with retail banks, lenders, brokerages, and insurance company clients.

In addition, Perlman will be responsible for developing new analytic products based on Compete's consumer behavior data.

He brings extensive experience in financial services, technology and strategy consulting, having worked at Siebel Systems, ZEFER, Inc., MarketBridge, Inc. and most recently Falcon Investment Advisors, a middle-market private equity firm, where he analyzed investment opportunities across a variety of industries.

According to Mike Bailey, MD of the Financial Services practice, 'Consumers are increasingly turning to the Internet to manage their financial lives, and as a result our clients are looking for new services that help them capitalize on this movement.'
