ORC Appoints Public Sector Head

Richard Abraham, formerly Head of Research, Information and Customer Feedback at the London Borough of Southwark, has joined ORC International to head up its Public Sector research team.

Abraham has worked in research for more than 15 years, in a number of public sector and non-for-profit organisations. At the Borough he managed the consultation unit, customer service team and records management strategy' prior to this he worked for 'Research into Ageing' and 'Alcohol Concern'. He started his career in 1989 in research and media relations roles within the House of Assembly of the Province of Newfoundland in Canada, and has also served as a member of the Board of Directors in various community service groups including the Alcohol Recovery Project (UK).

ORC Deputy MD Rory MacNeill says Abraham, who has a BA (Hons) in Political Science and an MA in Public Administration and Public Policy, brings to his new role as Divisional Manager 'the ideal blend of business and research experience within the Public Sector'.
