Ciao Launches Global Media Panel

Greenfield Online subsidiary Ciao has announced the launch of a global media panel, which will give clients the ability to target survey respondents based on their preferences for various media including television, radio, newspapers and magazines.

The media panel has been built across Ciao's global proprietary online access panels. Profiling data includes frequency of media consumption by type, consumption of national newspaper and magazine titles, and television and radio stations. Currently, the media consumption panel covers 21 countries: fourteen in Europe plus Australia, Brazil, China, India, Japan, Mexico and South Korea.

The panel has already been used for a study with partners Universal McCann looking at consumer uptake of content creation via new online technologies: results of this will be co-presented with Ciao at the Media Research Group annual conference on 10th November in Vienna.

According to Ciao MD Nicolas Metzke, the new panel 'has been particularly welcomed by market researchers in advertising and media agencies who have been able to benefit from the in-depth media profiling for their ad hoc and continuous studies.'
