ToLuna Revenue Rockets

September 13 2006

European online panel specialist ToLuna has announced strong results for the six months to 30 June. Revenue for the six months is £3.6m, already twenty per cent up on full year pro forma 2005 figures.

Comparative figures are given for the period from incorporation to 31 December 2005 and pro forma full year figures, as no directly comparable figures are available for the six months to 30 June 2005.

Profit before tax for the six months of £904,000 exceeds the pro forma for 2005 as a whole by more than 19%, while basic earnings per share for the six months are 1.70 pence, up from full year 2005's 1.46 pence. The company says strong growth is continuing in the second half.

According to Chairman George Kynoch, 'Our results for the first half of the year validate our strategy of combining panel and technology services to the market research industry whilst being truly European with strong teams and operations locally. I am pleased to note that our Company not only participates in but anticipates the growth areas of the online data collection space. This continues to be a key part of our long term plans'.

The half year period also saw ToLuna's client base rise from 121 to 195 companies – since June it has grown to more than 215. The agency, which says repeat business from existing clients represents 71% of revenue in the six months, has proposed paying its first dividend, an interim dividend of 0.25 pence per share.

Revenue grew across all three of the firm's core business activities, namely panel access, panel building and access to technology services. During the six months, ToLuna says it successfully integrated German online panel pioneer Speedfacts, which was acquired in December 2005.

The group has offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt and now New York (DRNO ). Its corporate site is at www.tolunapro.com .
