TNS Business Developer Joins InsightExpress

In the US, InsightExpress has hired David Katz as its new Director, Strategic Business Development. He joins from TNS where he was Vice President, General Manager.

Katz has over 20 years of research experience. At TNS, he worked with Group VPs and Account Executives to identify high potential clients and devised strategies for developing business; developed structures within sales and operations to support research and business plans, and led the preparation of major sales efforts. Prior to TNS he was Account Group Manager – Group Leader, Market Facts, Inc. (now Synovate) in New York, NY. He worked earlier as a Senior Project Manager at Mark Clements Research, Inc., also in NYC. A graduate of the University of Hartford, he holds a B.A. in Mass Communications.

His new responsibilities will include working across InsightExpress's Client Service Organization on proposals, meeting support and the overall strategy for account development; and advising the analytic team on meeting client research and product development needs.

Fern Schapiro, the firm's Executive VP, Client Service and Marketing, has worked closely with Katz in the past and comments: 'I am confident that David's involvement and support as Director, Strategic Business Development will prove to be invaluable as we continue to broaden our research offerings and deepen our key client relationships.
