Scientific Ad Researcher Hires to Grow US Business

Advertising assessment specialist MediaAnalyzer has announced a US expansion with new headquarters in New York City, and has named media veteran Charles Boyar as VP to lead its US business.

Boyar has more than 15 years' experience leading sales and marketing teams for media companies. Until this latest move he was Executive VP of Sales and Marketing at EcoMedia, and before that worked as VP, Director of Advertising for The Financial Times and Ziff-Davis Publishing.

Boyar comments: 'The United States is the media capital of the world - it leads the world in advertising with over $150 billion spent annually. At the same time, advertisers are increasingly challenged to break through the competition for the consumer's attention'.

President and co-founder Dr. Steffen Egner comments: 'Charles' experience in multiple-media advertising sales and marketing leadership makes him the ideal person to lead our expansion.' Eggner and co-founder Dr. Christian Scheier are both scientists, and the firm's flagship AttentionTracking™ grew out of research on brain processes and attention when reacting to stimuli, during the pair's post-doctoral work at California Institute of Technology (CalTech). The tool covers print advertising creative, web-page design and online ad effectiveness as well as advertising via TV, direct mail, outdoor and other communication vehicles.
