Forrester Creates COO Role

September 28 2006

Forrester Research has promoted Charles Rutstein to the new role of COO. Rutstein has worked at the technology specialist for seven years, and is currently President of Forrester Americas, the firm's largest operating group.

From January 1, 2007, Rutstein will oversee the day-to-day operations of Forrester worldwide. Rutstein will focus on operations while CEO George F. Colony spends more time and effort in building the Forrester brand, and continues to drive the firm's strategy.

Colony says this is the right time for the establishment of the COO role, adding 'and Charles is absolutely the right leader for the position. As our company continues to grow and innovate, Charles will lead the execution of Forrester's strategy to ensure the highest value to our clients, employees, and investors.'

Rutstein has held major positions in all of Forrester's primary businesses: as an analyst and research director, as a leader of Forrester Consulting and Forrester Leadership Boards, and as head of the largest regional business, the Americas. He was previously a principal consultant at Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Services, where he wrote the bestseller Windows NT Security and analyzed and implemented next-generation technology for many of the firm's largest clients. He has a B.A. in economics from Hobart College and an MBA in strategic and entrepreneurial management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

The company is online at www.forrester.com .
