Arbitron Promotes Thom Mocarsky

Audience researcher Arbitron has promoted Thomas F. Mocarsky to Senior Vice President, Press and Investor Relations. Mocarsky has worked at the firm since 1982 and was most recently VP, Communications.

Before Arbitron, Mocarsky worked as manager of Communications at CBS Television Stations Marketing, with a focus on the marketing of sports and special events programming. He has since played a major role in the development of Arbitron's marketing and merchandising, including the introduction and marketing of the PPM and the promotion of the joint venture Project Apollo. He now oversees the firm's press and investor relations as the company's chief spokesperson. Mocarsky has a B.S. degree in Broadcast & Film from Boston University.

According to Kathie Ross, Executive VP and Chief Administrative Officer, 'Thom has mastered the art of translating complex issues into clear, honest and straightforward communications that resonate with both investors and industry leaders. He has done an exemplary job of positioning the company for the rollout of PPM and Project Apollo.'
