Former Synovate Directors Claire Labrum and Dave Skelsey have launched their new agency, Strictly Financial, based in central London.

The news of their resignation from the Corporate & Financial Unit of Synovate – now disbanded - first appeared on DRNO in November. The new company specialises in qualitative financial research, of which the two have nearly 40 years’ experience between them.

Labrum told DRNO the new firm would take as its guiding principle the idea that ‘there is no substitute for close senior involvement in every stage of a project’, and that the partners are ‘looking forward to getting back to the ‘coal face’’. The two have worked in other sectors, mostly b2b, but have ‘always found financial services the most interesting’.

Skelsey comments: ‘We have worked together for a number of years, both in the same company and in wider cross-agency teams, and have found that our skills and personalities complement each other, so creating Strictly Financial was the natural next step.’
