Kadence Launches Asian Healthcare Division

January 31 2007

B2b specialist Kadence is launching a dedicated healthcare division in Asia, to be headed by Katherine Byrne, recently appointed as an Associate Director. The company is currently opening a Kuala Lumpur office and plans one for China in 2007.

Byrne is a senior healthcare specialist fluent in Mandarin, and worked previously at ISIS China (now Synovate Healthcare) and more recently at Research International Global Healthcare. Her experience includes projects in key therapy areas such as vaccinations, chronic disease, oncology, medical devices and cardiology.

The new division will be run from the company's Singapore office. Asia-Pacific MD Piers Lee says Kadence is already conducting many healthcare surveys in Asia. 'By adding a further industry specialism to our portfolio, which is supported by our in-house fieldwork team including experienced healthcare interviewers, we have also strengthened the data collection services offered to our partner research firms in Europe and the US.'

Group CEO Simon Everard says healthcare research fits well with the firm's business-to-business focus. Adding, 'We look forward to expanding this practice throughout 2007 via the opening of Kadence offices in Kuala Lumpur and China.'

Kadence, founded in the UK in 1992, already has offices in Boston, London, Delhi, Singapore and Sydney and is online at www.kadence.com .
