Former ACNielsen Manager Joins Retail Forward

Ohio-based retail and consumer products MR consultancy Retail Forward has hired James Russo as VP of Business Development.

Russo has a 16 year background in business development and market research. He joins from ACNielsen, where he was responsible for launching the firm's 'Executive Perspective' information service, which provides market intelligence and emerging trends insight into the consumer packaged goods industry. Previously he worked as Director of Marketing Research for electronics manufacturer, TDK Electronics, and manager of the market research department of a regional pharmaceutical chain. He has a BA and an MBA from St John's University.

Commenting on Russo's appointment, Tom Rubel, President of Retail Forward said: ''His understanding of industry dynamics and his ability to effectively translate the impact of major industry and consumer trends for retail and supplier executives makes him a valuable asset to our leadership team.'
