Springboard Opens in Australia, Hires Another from IDC

Technology researcher Springboard has opened an Australian office and appointed Phil Hassey as Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Like the firm's co-founders, Hassey worked previously at IDC where he was Asia/Pacific Research Director.

The news follows hot on the heels of a similar announcement regarding Japan, where Robert Triendl, also an IDC veteran, will take charge as Research Director (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6415.htm ).

Hassey will report to co-founder and CEO Dane Anderson. He has more than a decade of experience in IT, commercial property and financial services at companies including Accenture and Lend Lease, with a focus on corporate strategy and market intelligence. His role will also include global responsibility for Springboard's IT & business services research.
