YouGov Launches NHS Hospital and Patient Surveys

Online polling firm YouGov has launched two new healthcare research initiatives: online survey system NHSOpinions, which draws on a panel of 350,000 NHS staff; and PatientsOnline, which enables patient polling from their hospital beds.

Both initiatives are part of the YouGovHealthcare partnership, formed between YouGov, public sector marketing firm BRINC which operates the NHSDiscounts.com employee benefits portal, and Patientline which offers a hospital bedside TV and radio service.

The research firm says patients will be interviewed about issues ranging from health service delivery to general consumer matters, while all levels of NHS staff will be able to make their voices heard on a wide range of workplace topics.
