Convergence Specialist Branches Out

March 19 2007

Boston-based Strategy Analytics has organised its services for suppliers in the key markets surrounding new media convergence into five syndicated research programs, some new and some rebranded and/or restructured.

The programs are:

  • Digital Media Strategies (DMS)
  • Broadband Network Strategies (BNS)
  • Wireless Media Strategies (WMS)
  • Wireless Media Laboratory (WML)
  • Wireless Device Laboratory (WDL).
BNS and DMS are new launches from the firm's Digital Consumer Practice, providing research into service provider competition and convergence, and its consumer impact.

The company's Wireless Internet Applications service is renamed WMS to reflect the broadening role of media in the mobile domain by tracking messaging and infotainment, as well as video telephony. It will continue to research mobile TV, music, gaming and social networking, and advertising. WML will establish benchmarks by tracking music, video, TV, social networking and gaming applications across both mobile operator and traditional content provider solutions; while WDL will examine user experience and purchase motivation for cellphones, and give quant feedback on industrial design, software UI and overall mobile device user experience.

Strategy Analytics has principal offices in the UK, France and Germany and is online at www.strategyanalytics.com .
