Gallup China Leader Joins IDC

Technology researcher IDC has appointed Michael Guo as Managing Director for its China Operations, as it continues to expand into the booming market. He worked previously as Director of the board and Managing Partner of Gallup China.

Guo has more than 30 years of international experience including business development, business modeling, research, consulting, and general management.

IDC is no newcomer to China - it celebrates a quarter century in Beijing this year. In 2006, it added new research products and analysts, and increased its coverage of China's hardware market both at the city and sub-regional level, according to MD for North Asia Duk-Hwan Oh. He adds: 'IDC also strengthened its telecommunications research by launching studies and a suite of products that cover Managed Services and ICT Outsourcing, Application Networking and Optical Networking Equipment, and Unified Communications.'
