Former Forrester Researcher to Lead Lightspeed NA

Online specialist Lightspeed Research has named Michael Gazala CEO of its North American business. Gazala has spent the last nine years at technology research firm Forrester.

He joined Forrester as a Senior Analyst with the company's online Financial Services team, and latterly working as Senior VP, Forrester Data. During this time, Gazala also led the firm's North American Research teams, and headed Forrester's first major satellite office in San Francisco.

Reporting to President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Anne Hedde, Gazala will work with the senior global team and be based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

After graduating from Cambridge University, Massachusetts and then the University of Chicago's MBA programme, he worked as a banking consultant at First Deposit Corp, where he became CFO and helped the firm exploit the then-emerging technology of data mining. Other previous employers include State Street Corp, American Express, and Morgan Stanley.
