iD Factor Hires Heald, Starts Recruitment Drive

May 24 2007

In the UK, online marketing services group TMN has hired Tim Heald from ORB to take on a business development role with its research units, The iD Factor and iCD Research. Heald will take up the new post on 1st June.

Heald joined ORB in 1994 as Director of the firm's telephone interviewing unit; working alongside his father, the company's Founder and Chairman Gordon Heald, and his brother, MD Johnny Heald.

The announcement follows last week's news that TMN had promoted Paul Dixon to Managing Director of its research firms (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6793.htm ).

Dixon told DRNO: 'We are delighted that Tim is coming on board. His experience gained at such an established firm and the knowledge and skill set he will bring with him will be invaluable to help us differentiate ourselves from other fieldwork agencies and grow the firm.'

The company is commencing a recruitment drive which should add an additional dozen hires to the team in the forthcoming months. As well as looking for recruits with MR experience, Dixon is also widening the scope to include those with advertising or media agency backgrounds.

The iD Factor's focus is on its global panel capabilities, and while it mainly conducts online research, the firm recently won a 17-country postal survey of European opinion leaders. Dixon confirmed that the firm is currently exploring the possibility of establishing a consumer panel outside the UK, and looking at ways to expand its existing IT panel.

TMN Group acquired IDF in 2005 for £3 million. In March the Group was voted Online Business of the Year at the Fast Growth Business Awards 2007. Web sites: www.tmnplc.com , www.theidfactor.com and www.icd-research.com .
