Verint Wraps Up Witness Deal

Melville, New York-based analytics firm Verint Systems has purchased CRM solutions firm Witness Systems. The deal was concluded at $27.50 per share, or nearly $950 million.

Verint said in a statement that Witness Systems' workforce optimisation software combined with Verint's own software will create an improved customer service platform, allowing it to provide new opportunities for its global channel partners, which include BT Global Services. As part of Verint, Witness will be known as Verint Witness Actionable Solutions.

Dan Bodner, President and CEO of Verint Systems predicted: 'The industry-defining combination of Verint and Witness creates the market's broadest portfolio of powerful solutions that optimise workforce, contact centre and enterprise performance to deliver a compelling customer service advantage.'

Verint's portfolio of analytics software generates intelligence through the collection, retention and analysis of voice, fax, video, e-mail, Internet and data transmissions from multiple communications networks. Witness is known for its Impact 360 software which captures and analyses cross-functional information about workforce performance, customer interactions, customer service processes, and customer loyalty.
