Maktoob Expands Team and Offer

Maktoob Research, an online specialist with offices in Dubai and Amman, will run a monthly online omnibus survey of 500 adult consumers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Morocco.

Clients can submit up to ten questions for inclusion, including visuals if required, and expect results within a week in a customized PowerPoint presentation. Respondents are aged 18 years and above and brand awareness, preference and attitude questions and campaign / ad recall are expected to be among the main uses. The firm already runs syndicated studies including a TravelMonitor, and launched a dedicated commercial research unit last September to exploit its online consumer database (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5944.htm ).

Maktoob Research, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Maktoob Group, which also runs the Arab world's largest web portal and online community, has grown rapidly to a staff of eleven, and recently appointed Ahmad Al-Assad as Regional Research Manager. Al-Assad has five years of research experience, most recently at the Arab Advisors Group in Amman, and will focus on the Middle East's telecoms and electronics industries.
