comScore Hires Communications Veteran

June 1 2007

Marvin Pollack has joined Internet information provider comScore as VP Corporate Communications, bringing more than three decades of marketing communications experience to the firm.

For the past eight years he held the same job title working for printer supplier Océ, where he was responsible for raising the firm's profile throughout North America. Having earlier co-founded Pitzel & Pollack Advertising he then sold the firm to ad agency Grant/Jacoby where he took over responsibility for agency-wide strategic development. Pollack began his career with Leo Burnett in 1973 and subsequently gained extensive management experience in the corporate marketing departments of Midway Airlines and Hyatt Hotels.

In his new role, Pollack will be responsible for public relations, marketing materials, marketing communications, trade shows, and the company's web site. The firm says that his experience with multi-national businesses, including consumer packaged goods, services, and business-to-business enterprises will help support its US and international growth plans.

Chairman Gian Fulgoni commented: 'With comScore's rapid growth and the increased importance of digital marketing, we wanted to add an accomplished marketing and communications professional to help elevate our communications with our customers, our prospects, and the general interactive marketing community.'

Pollack has a BA in economics from Princeton University and Masters of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

comScore maintains proprietary databases that provide a continuous, real-time measurement of Internet usage. Alongside Nielsen//Netratings, the firm was recently asked to submit to a third-party audit of its measurement processes by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6703.htm ) and has since agreed to audit timetables (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6823.htm ). Its home page is at www.comscore.com .
