Datascension Moves Call Centers out of California...

July 11 2007

MR and customer service call centre agency Datascension is the latest firm in the sector to relocate much of its activity to lower cost sites outside the US. With call centre infrastructure now in facilities in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, the firm will sublet its Californian headquarters.

Chairman and CEO Scott Kincer explained that as a result of the move, the company no longer requires space in the California office, but will keep its corporate and executive presence in the area: 'This action is in step with our corporate conviction to continue to aggressively pursue new business while keeping a strong eye on bottom line profit. We estimate our net annual savings to be approximately $100,000 per year as a result of the lower rent, utilities, telecom and other related infrastructure expenses.'

Datascension was founded in 2000 and is now public with $12 million in revenues and 500 employees in three countries. Its CATI telephone facilities employs more than 400 full and part-time interviewers, many of whom are bilingual in Spanish and English.

The company is online at www.datascension.com.
