Cable & Co 'To Buy Several MR Firms'

US-owned shell company Cable & Co. Worldwide, Inc. has announced the forthcoming acquisition of 'several marketing and opinion research companies' under the new name of Marketing & Research Corp. At present, its only operating company focuses on development of OTC dental care products.

The group's sole operating business is LifeHealthCare, Inc., a firm aiming to to develop and commercialize 'innovative over-the-counter, non-prescriptive dental care products'. The Board says it will recommend the name change to shareholders forthwith, with LifeHealthCare, Inc. spun off as a separate reporting entity and the company buys to be made 'shortly'.

President Gary Stein states: 'The restructure of the Company will enable it to negotiate finance and acquire certain operating companies in the marketing and research sector which will establish a solid foundation for the Company to achieve growth and maximize profitability'.

He adds: 'Cable is in the final negotiating stages to acquire several marketing and opinion research companies. These firms provide technologically advanced data collection facilities, both telephonically and Internet driven, through which comprehensive qualitative and quantitative arsenal of research is completed both in the United States and worldwide. They provide services that span the testing of new Hollywood movies and television pilots, to traditional market research for corporations and government agencies such as business-to-business telephone data collection, test marketing of products and campaigns. They are also able to perform specialized opinion, political and overnight polling.'
