GMI Hires New MD of UK Sales

MR software and panels firm GMI (Global Market Insite) has appointed Matt Shepherd as Managing Director of UK Sales based at its EMEA headquarters in London.

Matt ShepherdShepherd has more than 10 years' MR experience, having kicked off his career with consumer intelligence firm Mintel where he worked for 9 years across FMCG, retail, leisure and media, and latterly managed a sales team with a multi-million pound turnover. Most recently Shepherd was Director of Sales (FMCG) at MR agency Holden Pearmain where he worked on concept testing and conjoint research projects.

Dietmar Walter Executive VP, EMEA for GMI in London commented: 'GMI is experiencing continuous rapid growth in the UK. Matt's ability to forge strong relations with senior-level executives will be vital as we continue our growth.'

Shepherd said he is delighted to be joining GMI, selling the firm's enterprise research solutions to a wide range of companies including traditional market research agencies, marketing consultancies and their customers.
