Burke Promotes Miller to COO

Employee-owned Burke Inc has promoted Jeff Miller to the position of Chief Operating Officer, responsibility for both its marketing research arm and its training institute.

Jeff MillerSince joining the firm in 1987, Miller has held a number of posts including most recently that of Senior Vice President with overall responsibility for the technology and analytical functions, and the interactive research practice. He has also managed the operations and marketing of Burke Interactive, the online research arm of the company that oversees all online data collection and online reporting. He is a member of Burke's board of directors.

'Jeff's experience and knowledge of the research industry, of Burke and of Burke's processes uniquely qualify him for this position,' said President and CEO Michael Baumgardner. 'Jeff will continue to move Burke forward in all phases of operational quality.'

Miller's tutorials on 'Conducting Online Research' are a regular feature of American Marketing Association events and he frequently presents for, amongst others, the Institute for International Research, the International Quality and Productivity Center and ESOMAR. He served as past Chairman for the AC Nielsen Center for Marketing Research at the University of Wisconsin, and is a member of the American Marketing Association and the American Statistical Association. Miller qualified with a BS in Marketing from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
