Online Readership Survey Launches

August 6 2007

In the UK iCD Research, sister company of The iD Factor and part of the TMN Group, has launched an online-only Readership Tracking survey with a 12-month contract from business daily City A.M.

The survey covers the London and national newspaper markets and is the first to be conducted entirely online, with no telephone or ftf component. The company says it is also the first to offer coverage of free sheets in addition to traditional paid-for titles.

To date, the UK's newspapers have opted for the country's circulation currency, the National Readership Survey, but free sheet City A.M., with a circulation of 100,000, feels confident in the new offering. 'The strong audience access and high quality reporting make the Tracking Survey ideal for monitoring our reader volume and distribution as we continue to experience consistent growth' says CEO Jens Torpe.

The new survey includes detailed questions to segment newspaper readership by key demographic measures such as age, gender, residence, job title and income. Results are available to buyers in quarterly reports to view long term trends over successive fiscal periods.

iCD's MD Paul Dixon comments: 'We are delighted to have City A.M. purchasing the tracker as it demonstrates our approach to quality online research is attracting more and more strategic clients.'

iCD Research is a division of TMN Group plc, which was established in 1999. The Group is composed of four core divisions: email list owner and manager tmnmedia; email campaign agency EDR; online fieldwork specialist and panel manager The iD Factor; and research consultancy iCD.
