Guardian Reels In Kable

In the UK, Guardian News & Media has bought public sector research, publishing and event services company Kable and will add it to its Guardian Professional division. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Kable was founded in 1990 and provides intelligence about European public sector markets for businesses in the ICT (information communications technology) sector, including web-based services offered under the KableDIRECT brand. It is also the publisher of the magazines Government Computing and Smart Healthcare, and organises conferences and events. Kable's MR offering includes focus groups, in-depth interviews, and online research.

Guardian News & Media is the national division of the Guardian media Group, publishing the Guardian and Observer newspapers. The Guardian Professional division provides a range of services in the education, media and public sectors.
