Pay-As-You-Go Analytics Launch

August 20 2007

US-based web analytics firm Compete, Inc. has today launched a pay-as-you-go resource for search marketing data, Compete Search Analytics.

The new service, which will be generally available from September 12, is pitched both at professional search marketers and novices, according to Jeremy Crane, the firm's Director of Search and Online Media: 'Whatever your level of experience, in a few short clicks our service will make you more successful with your search marketing programs; it's that intuitive.'

Users log in and pay per use by credit card, for up-to-date information on keywords on which to bid, gaps in competitors' search strategies they can exploit, search terms driving the most 'engaged' visitors and performance tracking data for themselves and competitors. Data comes from searches on the top six search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Windows Live, Ask and AOL), and shows keyword referrals, site referrals and site comparisons.

Compete is also offering a limited number of free beta accounts prior to launch, and is demonstrating the system at this week's Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose.

Boston, MA-based Compete was founded in 2000 and has offices throughout the USA. It is online at www.competeinc.com.
