September 5 2007

Database giant Experian has launched a new global image and identity which includes a re-vamped logo and tagline. The firm has also appointed Tony Pullen as Managing Director of its Business Information Division in Nottingham, UK.

The new logo / Tony PullenThe new branding conveys Experian's 'dynamic growth, global reach and position', says CEO Don Robert. 'In the past five years, we have completely transformed the shape and growth profile of Experian. This new brand positioning reflects the changes we've introduced.'

Prior to the launch the firm conducted a research study to help guide it through the re-design. Said Kim Hosmer, Senior VP of Corporate Marketing: 'Our tagline - A world of insight - conveys the depth and breadth of Experian's capabilities to both prospective and existing clients.'

Since acquiring B2B analytics firm the pH Group in July (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7080.htm ), Experian's Business Information division has made a number of new hires. Pullen was most recently European Strategic Finance Officer at Equifax. Prior to this, he worked for Coca Cola in a number of senior international roles - latterly as Deputy Division President and CFO of the German division.

Announcing the appointment, Phil Cotter, MD of Experian's Information Solutions division, said: 'Tony is a real strategic thinker and has a strong understanding of the markets in which we operate. His drive, vision and FMCG experience will certainly be put to good use.'

In his new role, Pullen will be working closely with the leadership team with a remit to enhance the entire customer experience and deliver intelligent, value-added solutions.
