MRS Debuts Training 2.0

October 3 2007

In the UK the Market Research Society (MRS) has incorporated coverage of Social Networking and Web 2.0 into its training programme, to offer practitioners at all levels an understanding of the research potential of interactive online media.

'MRS prides itself on keeping at the forefront of professional development, and offering courses in cutting-edge topics such as Social Networking are fundamental to this,' explained Robin Nash, MRS Training Programme Manager. 'Our world is changing rapidly, and researchers need to keep abreast of this.'

The association's learning and development programme will continue to offer a three-pronged approach under the banners of Research Skills, Business Skills and Leadership Skills. In addition, new modules have been added such as 'Being A Consultant' for those starting their own specialist businesses, and 'Change Management' to provide an understanding of business evolution. Leadership skills for established and new managers will also be explored through monthly academy sessions designed to promote best practice.

Since last year, online training courses have been available on subjects from questionnaire design to an introduction to market research, along with ten business and leadership courses ranging from coaching to negotiation skills. Details about the MRS learning and development programme are online at: www.mrs.org.uk/training.
