China Research Publisher Acquired

San Francisco-based translation services and technology firm Elanex, Inc. has acquired market research publisher and business information provider Reports From China.

Reports From China works for international investors, companies outsourcing to the country and developing business there, and those keeping watch on Chinese competitors. CEO Lan Lin says the companies are 'a natural fit' with many MR clients also needing translation. Furthermore, with all the company's original reports written in Chinese, the buy should open them up to a wider audience via English translation. Lan Lin will continue as head of Reports From China, now an independent division within Elanex, and will also take on responsibility for Elanex's China practice.
