Online marketing agency Clear Ink has released Slogbase, a free service allowing companies to track visitors and measure traffic to their locations in Second Life and other virtual worlds.
Slogbase, offered as an open source application, monitors visitor numbers and follows their routes through users' 'islands' in Second Life, including information on how long people stayed.
Clear Ink says the elegantly named product provides the same functionality for Second Life objects that Apache server logs - familiar to many site owners and analysts - do for web sites. The product sends data to an external PHP/MySQL application. Slogbase has its own home page at www.slogbase.com.
