US firm MarketTools has appointed John Ouren as Executive VP and General Manager of its self-build online survey business, Zoom.
Ouren joins from Goodmail Systems, where as President he was responsible for managing the company's sales, business development and strategic alliances. He left less than two months after being promoted to the position of Co-CEO. Prior to this, he was Senior VP of worldwide sales, services and field operations at e-mail marketing technology firm Digital Impact. He was also a founding member of the e-commerce practice and leader in the financial services practice at McKinsey & Co. Ouren holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ouren will lead a team dedicated to driving MarketTools' online offerings including its feedback tool Zoomerang, proprietary sample source ZoomPanel, and web community feedback tool Insight Networks.
