Accelovation Launches Text Analytics Solution

In the US, market discovery software firm Accelovation has launched a new tool to help food manufacturers source information on scientific research, consumer trends and innovations.

VP of Products Jens Tellefsen said that using a search engine like Google to find single documents containing specific keywords works well, but can be cumbersome when each search provides millions of results.

He explained that the new software uses a semantic search to sift through three billion web pages and produce a refined and relevant group of results. The system not only searches for specific keywords, but can also seek pages that apply to several specifications.

He added that the database is also useful for clients who are not sure exactly what they are looking for, especially if the topic is vague.

The California-based firm designs software that allows companies to perform a variety of tasks relating to market research, consumer sentiment analysis, technology scouting, competitive scouting and trend scouting. Its home page is at www.accelovation.com.
