Senior Promotions for TNS in AsiaPac

TNS has promoted Tania Kullman, General Manager of TNS Sydney, to the role of Australian MD; Jacqui von Hirschberg to ANZ Director of Consumer; and Evette Cordy to Regional Director for the Technology sector in its ALM super-region.

With more than 13 years' experience in market research, half of which have been spent with TNS Australia, Kullman's expertise includes both consumer and brand equity research. Regional MD for TNS Oceania, Chris Riquier said that the firm's Sydney office had 'thrived' in the three years that Kullman had been at the helm. 'Tania's experience and leadership have been evident for a long time and she has a lot to add to building the Australian business.'

Von Hirschberg was promoted to the position of National Director - Consumer earlier in the year, from her previous role as General Manager of TNS Melbourne. She has a ten year research and consultancy background, and previously worked for South Africa MR firm Research Surveys.

Before her promotion, Cordy was Head of TNS' Technology sector in the Oceania and South East Asia sub-region. She has considerable experience in new product development research, covering issues such as 3G mobile adoption and usage, and assessing mobile needs in both developed and developing markets overseas. In her new role, Cordy will be responsible for building growth strategies across the sector - she will relocate to Asia at the beginning of 2009.

Regional ALM MD James Hall praised Cordy, saying that in the past three years she had managed to maintain year-on-year double digit growth in a mature market. The firm's ALM region covers Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

In July, TNS acquired Auckland-based Conversa Global to create TNS Conversa, and appointed Conversa Director Michael Lucas as MD of the new company (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6996.htm ). Riquier added that with Kullman in place as MD of Australia and Lucas in New Zealand as MD, he would now be concentrating on collaboration across the Oceania region.
