Keynote Provides Web 2.0 Insights

November 23 2007

Website and mobile measurement firm Keynote Systems has upgraded its two flagship products to enable firms to more accurately test Web 2.0 end-user experience.

Its diagnostics tool Application Perspective 5.0 now allows firms to more accurately mimic the browser, which Keynote's VP of Product Management and Corporate Development Vik Chaudhary says gives a more accurate representation of user experience.

In addition, the firm's Transaction Perspective web performance measurement application has been updated to help testing teams detect more quickly if an application performance issue is on the server or client side.

The two products both utilise the company's new testing environment - Keynote Internet Testing Environment (Kite). This desktop-based software has been developed to enable testers to monitor and measure the end-user experience of Web 2.0 applications in a 'faster, more responsive and collaborative way', Chaudhary added.

Keynote has four test and measurement businesses: Web Performance, Mobile Quality, VoIP and Streaming, and Customer Experience/UX, and provides benchmarking data, competitive analysis, and operational metrics - all from the end-user's perspective. Headquartered in San Mateo, California, the firm is online at www.keynote.com.
