Cross-Tab to Double Head Count

November 26 2007

In India, outsourcing and paneling services firm Cross-Tab Market Research has initiated a recruitment drive to double its head count to 400 in the next 18 months, and meet projected growth in both its Indian and US operations.

The firm will be recruiting personnel with backgrounds in statistics, mathematics, programming and marketing, and will be looking for new hires with advanced degrees including post-graduates, MBA's and PHD's. The company has also invested in in-house training facilities and processes.

Director Ashwin Mittal explained: 'We are expecting a lot of growth from the European and US markets within the next couple of years. We are gearing up for this by substantially ramping up our teams in India and also increasing headcount in the US.'

Cross-Tab has two centres in India, one in Mumbai and the other in Bangalore, and a US presence in Seattle. The majority of its clients are based in the US and Europe.

In March, the firm appointed former Microsoft Research Director Kumar Mehta as Global CEO of its US office ( www.mrweb.com/drno/news6557.htm ). Earlier in the year, it also set up a Global Advisory board and appointed Dr Russ Winer and Simon Chadwick to guide the company on business and corporate strategy ( www.mrweb.com/drno/news7224.htm ).
