SSI Promotes Leaders for Panels and KM

Survey Sampling International (SSI) has promoted Debi Hart to VP Global Panel Solutions based in the Netherlands, and Jackie Lorch to VP Global Knowledge Management, working in the firm's headquarters in Fairfield Connecticut.

Debi Hart and Jackie LorchHart has more than 20 years' experience in online development and marketing, and previously worked for Bloomerce Access Panels Europe, until it was acquired by SSI in 2005. Prior to this she spent 14 years at Cendant developing online products.

In her new role, Hart is involved with defining the standards, operating procedures and performance metrics for the firm's online communities - SurveySpot (North America) and OpinionWorld (Europe and Asia Pacific). She also manages respondent acquisition and retention, rewards programmes and respondent experience for these communities. Prior to her promotion, Hart led the panel group in Europe and the technology group in Rotterdam.

CEO Jim Follett explained that SSI is investing in new technologies, including the use of Web 2.0 techniques, and new methods of recruiting and managing respondents. He added: 'We look forward to Debi's leadership to help us better serve clients in this regard.'

Hart will be jointly chairing SSI's newly formed Respondent Advisory Board with Mike Newman, VP Global Business Development.

UK-born Lorch joined the firm in 1990 and since then has held a number of posts including Marketing Co-ordinator, Web Editor and Manager of SSI's North American Internet panels. Her new position involves researching and implementing SSI programmes that ensure quality initiatives worldwide. In addition, she conducts analysis of the application of new and existing techniques and methods. Lorch has authored and co-authored a number of papers addressing online data quality.

Founded in 1977, SSI has an international staff of more than 320 people representing 49 countries and 35 languages. In October, the company expanded its Respondent Experience (REX) function to become a worldwide group overseeing online projects (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7455.htm ).
