Kopp’s Off: WebTrends CMO is Latest to Depart

January 9 2008
Just two months after web analytics firm WebTrends replaced its CEO and three VPs left the company, Chief Marketing Officer Tim Kopp has also left to take up the same post at e-mail marketing firm ExactTarget.

WebTrends spokesman Matt Langie reiterated that the management changes which took place in November were part of the firm’s commitment to accelerate growth (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7529.htm ). He added that Kopp has been replaced on an interim basis by technology marketing specialist Kathleen Brush, and that WebTrends is currently recruiting for both a new CMO and permanent CEO.

Prior to joining WebTrends a year ago, Kopp was Vice President, Worldwide Interactive Marketing for the Coca-Cola Company. Previously, he was a founding member of Procter and Gamble's Interactive Marketing team and managed the beauty care division, which had approximately $17bn in annual sales.

In his new role, Kopp is responsible for all aspects of ExactTarget's marketing programme including strategy, corporate marketing and product marketing. Web sites are at www.webtrends.com and www.exacttarget.com.
