BSRIA Opens in Beijing

January 17 2008

Not-for-profit BSRIA, which provides market intelligence to the construction industry, has opened an office in Beijing to increase its international research portfolio and act as a 'window' to other BSRIA services.

Worldwide Market Intelligence (WMI) is BSRIA's specialist consultancy which provides independent market analysis for the built environment. BSRIA's consultants offer both bespoke studies using face-to-face, telephone, focus groups and market modelling techniques, as well as off-the-shelf research.

International MR Consultant Oliver Peng becomes General Manager of the new office, having conducted international projects from the BSRIA's UK headquarters for the last five years. During this time, Peng has also carried out research projects for government exchanges between China and the UK.

Peter Deng joins him as Senior Consultant, with a ten year background in strategic marketing and market analysis in China; and Sebastian Tang becomes Market Consultant for market research conducted mainly in China and nearby countries. Annie Zhang manages the office and is also responsible for customer service and marketing logistics.

Founded in 1956, BSRA employs 150 people at its head office in Bracknell, as well as regionally-based 'airtightness' testers in the UK, and market research consultants in France, Spain, Germany and now China who offer global market intelligence across a range of building services products.
