Yahoo!'s Targeting Man Moves On

In the US, social media software developer SocialMedia Networks has appointed Richard Frankel as Chief Operation Officer, in charge of driving the overal growth and development of the firm.

Frankel joins from Yahoo! where as Senior Director of Product Marketing, he managed the company's ad targeting products and developed its behavioural targeting business. Previously he held senior positions at DoubleClick and NetGravity.

'Richard brings a career of Internet advertising experience, and valuable insights as to how to best optimize advertising networks through enhanced targeting,' said SocialMedia Networks CEO and Co-Founder Seth Goldstein. 'I look forward to working with him as we grow to the next level.'

Based in Palo Alto and San Francisco, SocialMedia Networks provides advertisers and developers of social media applications with the ability to manage, market and monetise on open social platforms and social networks such as Facebook and MySpace. Its own home page is at www.socialmedia.com.
