Burke Makes Senior Appointments

US MR agency Burke Inc has hired Steve Perkins as Senior Consultant Decision Sciences, and promoted Tara Marotti to the post of SVP Client Services.

Perkins joins with a market research background gained as Director, Advanced Analytics at Opinion Research Corporation and as Vice President, Marketing Science at M/A/R/C. In addition, he previously served as Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Pennsylvania State University, and most recently as Associate Dean of Graduate Programmes at The University of Texas in Dallas. He has a PhD in Management Science.

In his new role, Perkins will be designing research studies, analysing data, writing reports and delivering actionable recommendations. He will work in the Dallas Client Services office.

SVP Client Services Joseph Ottaviani praised Perkins, saying his market research background has been grounded in sound academic principles supported by practical application.

Marotti joined the firm in 1995, before which she worked in the marketing research department at medical device manufacturer DePuy. She has an MBA from the University of Cincinnati and holds undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Human Resources from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
